Sky Gardens

Description

The previous church and church hall had not been fit for purpose, meaning that the congregation and community groups had to use other venues further away from their neighbourhoods. The new church hall provides four function rooms, two of which can be combined to seat 200 people, as well as a catering kitchen, WCs, offices, and a kiosk shop. This means that it is now far better equipped to meet the needs of its 21st century congregation as well as a variety of community groups. All houses have their own private garden space and each apartment has its own private balcony.

Planning History

A planning application was submitted in December 2012 for 8 houses, the vicarage, and 10 apartments (totalling 19 homes). This original application was rejected on the basis of excessive density. A revised application for 18 homes was submitted in June 2013. Consent was granted in September 2013.
