St Irvyne's

Description

Within the existing village of Norton St Philip there is a parish church, a Catholic church, a gospel chapel, a Village Green, a school, a Village Hall, two pubs, a repair garage and a small village hall. A new convenience store, a Market building and commercial office premises in Fortescue Fields will serve the whole village.

Planning History

Planning permission was given by Mendip District Council in June 2010. The planning application was welcomed by local residents and recommended for approval by both the Parish Council and the Mendip District Council. It was also praised by all the Planning Committee members for its design and obtained a unanimous approval at Committee.
