Cobalt Place

Surrey Lane, Battersea London SW11 3PB

Description

Outdoor amenity has been prioritised in the scheme - each unit has a private garden, terrace or balcony, and communal gardens and play areas. The boundaries between public and private space have been made legible with green spaces linking the two developments along a restored nineteenth century 'spine route'- Alpha Mews. Car parking totals 95 spaces for the whole 'Kilburn Park NW6' site, while a designated homezone and travel connections prioritise pedestrians.

Planning History

Brent Council's South Kilburn masterplan was developed in 2004 in partnership with the South Kilburn New Deal for Communities, with an aspiration to regenerate through provision of high-quality, sustainable and inclusive homes.\r\nThe proposals to re-develop Cambridge & Wells Court formed part of the first phase of the regeneration programme for the South Kilburn Estate and full planning was granted in March 2011 (winning Housing Design Award, 2011).\r\nCompleted in December 2015, this phase of the South Kilburn Estate development has been renamed 'Kilburn Park NW6', with Cambridge & Wells Court now known as Harlequin Mansions and Dury Place.
