Anson Road
83 Anson Road London N7 0AS
Description
The units are situated in the rear garden of a mansion block. There is a shared garden to the rear of the site of 140m2. The building is sunken into the landscape with a continuous banked landscape bowl around the perimeter of the building planted with wildflower meadow grass. A continuous path around the building with planting to the garden wall side provides access to the flats and the garden. Each unit has its own garden steps down to the entrance to the flat which creates a more private external area within the rear garden.
Planning History
The scheme was submitted to Islington Council in June 2012 after pre-application. A public consultation was held and the scheme was received well. The decision was delayed due to a number of reasons: change of planning officer half way through application; failure to consult with English Heritage; indecision as to whether the scheme should go to committee. It was determined under delegated powers after the objections were deemed not valid. Planning permission was granted with approval of conditions in April 2013.
